*CRASH!!!*

so i'm coming around one of the really narrow little twisty bends in the road on the way into town yesterday, minding my own buisness and suddenly, there's this big red truck, right there (!!!)
needless to say, i swerved all up on the side of the road, and so apprently, did this guy, only his side of the road was a big ditch.... with the river in the bottom of it... i hear this huge muffled crashing "plop" sort of sound and turn around in my car seat to see that the big red truck (hearafter known as the BRT) is on it's side... in the ditch... wheels spinning pointlessly... my mind was one big long "whoooooaaaaa.....", i cut off the car, beat it out the door in like... five nanoseconds, flat... running back to see if this guy is ok... he's already out of the car, staring at the bottom of his BRT and looking a little surprised, to say the least... he's fine, minor scratch... that's all, so i take my silly little ass further on down the road and alert Rick that there is, in fact, a rather large BRT in the ditch, and would he please be so kind as to get himself and his tow truck down there to jerk it out of said ditch... Rick obliged... i took my silly little ass back down to tell this guy (whose name was later revealed to be Jason) that the calvary was on it's way... we wait... for several minutes... Rick arrives, tells guy his insurance might not refund his money if Rick hauls it out since he's not technically a company... we all stare at the BRT some more... then, leaving the BRT we all pile into the tow truck and my subi and tote ourselves back up the hill, there i drop Jason-guy off with my name and phone number (in case of insurence reasons) and skeet outta there... call mum, start my conversation with her as "ME AND THE SUBI ARE OK... there's been a problem, but ME AND THE SUBI ARE OK"..hahhaa... wheee... life is so weird... especially when a DOT guy passed us, stopped to ask us if we were ok, and then drove off, a dead deer's feet sticking straight up out over the tail gate...

oh man, whew, I haven't laughed so hard all summer. That is pretty funny. Well, I'm glad that you are ok. It would be really bad if you wrecked your car only like a month after finishing the payments on it. Somehow this just seems to be a thing that would only happen to you. Thanks for the laugh, I needed that. You drive a Subaru? I could have sworn you drove a Chevrolet.....
