where am i?
okies, for all you chicka/o-s out there peeved cause i'm never on the instant messenger thingys, here is what i've been up to...
-Cowboy Bebop~ anime concerned with jazz, sci-fi and bounty hunting, every episode is called a session and they are named after musical things, like bohemian rahpsody and mushroom samba... Spike, Jett, Feye and Ed in a spaceship, with a super intellegent dog... oh the things taht could go wrong... (fav. character? Gren)
-Samurai Champloo~ anime set in Japan probably around the time before the forceful opening of Japan's harbors, two sword fighting guys with bad attitudes following around an at times ditzy chick in serch of a samurai who smells like sunflowers (fav. char.? Jin)
-Saiyuki~ stories same as the manga, new age anime, not much use for it, will always passionatly adore teh manga, could take or leave the anime, a half demon, a full demon with a dragon, a monkey king and a partricularly twisted priest..traveling togather, beating on each other, beating on crazy demons... you get the picture (fav. char.? Cho Hakkai [note: the score in this case may or may not be slightly based on his possesion of a dragon, one nevers knows])
-Card Captor Sukura~ hahhaha... like kid's anime with a flying hamster looking thing... cute... at times makes me want to bang my head aginst the floor from a sugar overdose...
-Wolf's Rain~ wolfs extinct, or so humanity thinks! (bwahahaha) concerns werewolf kinda wolves who are hunting for paradise... nice music, very pretty... i like... a lot...
-Trigun~ alien born on a human transport ship fights his brother for the sake of humans struggling to live on a desert world, has a no kill complex, but, predictably does once and goes all remorseful, beats the crap outta his brother, blond guy with a gun for an arm, destroys whole cities, likes donuts, chased by insurance agents... (fav. char.? Wolfwood)
-Rouruni Kenshin~ another with a no kill complex, only he actually killed... a LOT of people, actually, and now is wondering around Japan with a sakabato (reverse edged sword) and happens to fall in with a chick in a dojo and a street fighting punk and a son of samurai and that sort of thing, short little redheaded scarred kid who is scarey scarey with a sword (nicknamed battosai, or for those of us who speak english...manslayer) voice actor might take some getting used to, as it is a chick, but it fits really well set, in historical Japan right after the Meiji revolution (Kenshin was a patriot) ... (fav. char.? Himura Kenshin)
-FLCL~ really brain hurting anime about an alien who fights with a bass guitar and serches for Atomsk who happens to be hiding out in some kid's head who has a brother that plays baseball in the States... she drives a vespa and occasionally dresses like a playboy bunny... he hates sour stuff and is perpetually confused abotu girls, the alien, the robots who occasionally sprout from his head and his utter lack of skill at baseball (fav. char.? the alien, of course)
-Inyuasha~ chick falls down a sacred well that her family tends, discovers she is a reincarnation of a priestess who nailed some poor sod to a tree with an arrow and then promptly died, with a scared jewel that burns with her body... the chick battles demons for the jewel, breaks the jewel, and then spends the rest of the time hunting for the shards, she fights a really pissy never-can-stay-dead git and her partner, the guy who was nailed to the tree, who happens to be a half demon with an attitude problem... joining them are a fox demon, a demon slayer and her two tailed demon cat, a randy monk with a windtunnel in his hand, and occasionally a flea... (fav char.? toss up between the demon cat (Kelala[sp]) and Inuyasha's brother (Shesommuro [definate sp]) )
-Read or Die~ three episode long anime about super heros who work for the British government, crazy guy clones Beethoven and plans to play suicide music to the world, chick who reads constantly and can minipulate paper joins up with a chick who can pass through solids and a guy who aparently is good with weapons... very odd, but good, ends in a psychiatric hospitol, as all good stories do :) (fav. char.? Ms. Deep, the first one)
-Noir~ assassin chicks! watches like a Bond film with the difference that one of them has amnesia and is a school girl; opens with a death-by-tie-and-cool-gymnastics, good music, not far enough into it to reveal more here... first ep starts in Japan and ends in Paris... all amnesia chick (sound familiar to those of us who are Long Kiss Goodnight fans?) has is a gun, ammo, a school id and the phrase, "I am Noir." [note, Noir means black in French, seems appropriate]
so there you have it, whats been occupying my tiny little brain for the last few weeks... if you'e a fan too, you'll probably recognize most of these, if not, you'll probably write me off as a geek... well, you were warned *is cheerful*
